Weltmeister Sonic Branding

An acoustic identity for the Chinese EV Start-Up

Weltmeister Sonic Branding Casemovie

We supported the Chinese electric car brand Weltmeister (WM Motor) as a strategic music and sound agency for the launch of the first car models.

Our task was to extend the brand with a global acoustic strategy for more recognition, orientation in the customer journey and a more precise communication of the brand personality.

For this, we developed a modular applicable acoustic identity including sound logo, brand songs, UX interface and vehicle sounds as well as in-store music playlists.

Living sound logo

What does the logo for a brand with a digital soul look and sound like? One that connects people, mobility and technology? The answer is a dynamic logo: One that interacts and lives. And one that is ready for whatever comes next. The combination of visual and acoustic logo merges in Weltmeister's dynamic "living logo".

Modular music library

Nothing conveys emotions as effectively as music. The critical factor from the brand's point of view is continuity. Based on the acoustic strategy, we have developed a brand music library with music in various moods and genres. For flexible and always brand-compliant use at all audiovisual and auditory contact points and for all occasions: from the right sound track for a launch event, to the right music for a wide variety of campaigns, to playlists for all Weltmeister stores.

All parts are interchangeable and loopable within a song and categorized into low, mid and high dynamics. This allows the various song elements to be used in a wide range of moods and applications.

In-Car sound set

A product experience is also always a brand experience. That's why we developed an in-car sound set for Weltmeister based on the acoustic strategy, which includes more than 150 individual sounds. The result was a holistic sound set that on the one hand makes the acoustic brand perceptible in the car as well and on the other hand combines it with the functional requirements of the in-car experience.

Guideline

A sound guideline is part of the Weltmeister brand portal. It supports and connects content creators on an international level. And thus promotes the effective use of music, sound and voice.
